Company party – Fun and competition as a team

Imagine: your team steps outside, the air is fresh and clear, and the first notes of bagpipes immediately give you goosebumps. At that moment, it becomes clear – BITOU’s Highland Games are no ordinary corporate event. They create a backdrop that transports your team to another world, where tradition, athletic competition and shared pride merge. The result: an experience that not only inspires your team, but also creates lasting bonds and provides topics of conversation for many days to come.

What are “Highland Games”?

“Highland Games” have existed in Scotland since the 11th Century AD. They say that King Malcolm the third announced a foot race to the summit of Craig Choinnich. The goal was to find the fastest runners in the country and to make them the king’s personal courier.

When we talk about the “Highland Games” today, we mean a rustic form of measuring strength that also offers a good amount of Scottish tradition and folklore. Highland Games are often organised as summer party or company party ,because they take place outdoors.

This is how the Highland Games work – Powerful. Team-oriented. Unforgettable.

Arriving in the highlands – Individuals become clans

The journey to the Scottish Highlands begins with the first sound of the bagpipes. A presenter in a kilt welcomes the guests, captivating them with humour and energy and turning strangers into allies. Together, the participants form clans, give themselves proud names, wrap themselves in kilts – and suddenly the team spirit grows, louder and stronger than any battle cry echo.

The “elixir of life”

A sip of whisky or the fruity alternative ignites the games. This ritual is more than just a toast: it is the ceremonial start that awakens both courage and community spirit.

Competition of strengths

The two best clans face off in the decisive duel. Cheers erupt, tension crackles, every breath a drumbeat – until the champion is celebrated and pride unites all clans.

Award ceremony and farewell

Certificates, sparkling wine and the big group photo crown the day with joy, pride and lasting memories. When the kilts come off and the last sip has been taken, the echo of the bagpipes lingers – carrying the feeling of community far into everyday life.

Smart combinations for noticeably greater impact

The Highland Games (Level 1) are ideal as an introduction to team events – and as a strong foundation for sustainably strengthening team spirit, motivation and a sense of unity.

The perfect next step is the Level-2-format Chain Reaction XXL, in which the shared experience is enhanced by reflection and visible collaboration – for greater depth and direct transfer into everyday working life.

Highland Games are perfect for:

  • Involvement in kick-offs and team days – as an energetic impulse that connects teams and unleashes new momentum
  • Stand-alone team event activity – as an emotional highlight that creates community and has a lasting effect
  • Onboarding & Company Parties – to quickly integrate new colleagues and bring team culture to life

The added value of the Highland Games at a glance:

✔  Team trust that carries you through everyday life: Shared challenges create genuine trust – and thus better cooperation in day-to-day business.

✔   Clearer communication – even in stressful situations: Dynamic situations and time pressure quickly reveal what works. This is precisely what strengthens communication, coordination and decision-making skills.

✔   Roles & Strengths become apparent: Who leads? Who connects? Who structures? The Highland Games bring talents to life – and thus make them useful for everyday life.

✔   A sense of unity instead of a lone wolf mentality: Experience teams: Success can only be achieved together. This strengthens belonging and reduces silos in the long term.

✔   More responsibility through personal initiative: Participants take on tasks voluntarily, act independently and actively contribute to success – a strong transfer to the world of work.

✔   Greater resilience through shared experiences of success: The team learns to use setbacks as part of the game – and develops more composure and cohesion in difficult phases.

✔   Making culture tangible – not just talking about it: Values such as solidarity, fairness, courage and mutual support are not explained, but experienced – and thus remain in the mind.

✔   Long-term loyalty through emotional experiences: People don’t remember meetings – they remember moments. The event acts as an emotional anchor and strengthens motivation and employer loyalty.

What our customers say

Customer reviews

The Highland Games were the perfect end to our conference. After an intense day, the fresh air and exercise did us all a world of good – the whole team immediately relaxed, laughed a lot and experienced each other in a whole new way. What was particularly nice was that everyone was able to contribute their strengths in the disciplines, and suddenly colleagues revealed talents that we had never suspected they had. It was an unforgettable conclusion that will remain a topic of conversation for a long time to come.
