When collaboration generates energy

The Wind Farm is a team event in which individual tasks come together to form a joint project. Over the course of several hours, teams plan, build and coordinate their wind turbines – with the clear aim of generating as much energy as possible as a whole.
Every role counts; every decision influences the result.
The end result is not just a visible structure, but a measurable voltage reading that shows what has been achieved together.
Tangible. Comparable. And lasting in the mind.

Event Schedule – How Teams Generate Real Energy

Arriving & Developing a Vision – From Wonder to Mission

The participants enter the venue and see numbered tables, closed boxes and a large selection of materials. It is not yet clear how this is all to be turned into a functioning wind farm – and that is precisely what creates the excitement.
After a brief, energising introduction, the task becomes clear:
Each team builds its own wind turbine. But the real goal is bigger – it’s about the combined energy yield of the entire wind park.
Curiosity turns into focus. Individuals become a project team.

Construction phase – When roles are defined and momentum builds

At first, the task seems complex. But after a few minutes, things start to take shape. Teams plan, build, discuss and test.
Some take charge of the construction, whilst others handle strategy, the budget or communication. Strengths, roles and initial coordination structures emerge quite naturally.
The collaboration doesn’t stop at their own table – because a wind farm only works if the teams coordinate with one another.
Here, project-based thinking isn’t explained, but experienced.

Security review & strategic direction – collaboration is key

Before the wind park goes into operation, every wind turbine is inspected. Stability and safety are crucial, as real forces come into play once the turbines are up and running.
Then comes the strategic moment:
How do we position our wind turbines so that they do not block each other’s wind?
Now it is no longer about individual teams, but about the interaction between all those involved. Communication across team boundaries becomes the key to maximising output.

Finale & Measurement – The moment that brings everything into focus

The rotors begin to turn. The voltage readings rise – 8… 12… 17…
There’s a buzz in the air. Everyone’s eyes are fixed on the display. With every higher reading, their pride grows.
In the end, there’s a shared figure. And this figure is more than just a number: it’s made tangible – for example, by comparing what could be powered by this energy.
The homemade wind turbine stands almost two metres tall in front of the team. Visible. Measurable. Achieved.
A moment that shows: when we pool our strengths, real energy is created.

Your team trip to the wind park

The wind park is the ideal location for setting up:

The wind park is the perfect starting point for a team-building trip.

The benefits of the wind park at a glance:

The division of roles becomes clear: Teams recognise who coordinates, who builds, who analyses, and how important each role is.

Real-time project management: A complex objective is broken down into smaller tasks and implemented.

Cross-departmental cooperation: Teams need to coordinate their efforts to ensure that the entire park generates maximum revenue.

Measurable success: The voltage reading makes power output transparent and comparable.

Application in everyday working life: “What was our aim?” – This reflective question at the end opens the door to lasting insights.

Sustainability factor: When there is a natural breeze, the event requires no external power supply – a strong signal for sustainable teams.

A wide range of talents are actively involved: Whether it’s design, creativity, knowledge or coordination – different strengths clearly contribute to the team’s success.

Tailored solutions rather than a one-size-fits-all approach: As there is no ready-made solution, each team develops its own approach to building a working wind turbine – this fosters innovation and collaborative problem-solving.

What our customers say

Customer reviews

Hi Pia, hi BITOU team, thank you so much for the brilliant event last Saturday. Everyone involved had a right good time building the wind turbines – it was a really cool activity. One participant’s comment really stuck with me. It was more or less… I didn’t know what to expect. Looking back, it turned out to be so much better than I’d imagined… I think that’s how it was for many of the participants. It was a brilliant event all round – keep up the good work!!!!
