Are you looking for an outdoor activity that combines the fun of puzzles with teamwork? But you don’t want a boring scavenger hunt – you want an experience that really suits your team? Then a rally from BITOU is just the thing for you!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
“We deliberately decided against a traditional GPS scavenger hunt – and BITOU’s iPad rally – the Smart Nature Challenge – was exactly the right choice! The interface was incredibly intuitive, and the interactive map with a live view of the other teams immediately created a competitive atmosphere. We particularly liked the creative tasks with photo and video missions – there really was something for everyone.
Our colleagues were thrilled by just how much fun a team event can be, one that not only takes place outdoors but is also at the cutting edge of technology. Highly recommended – we’ll be booking again!”

Forget traditional GPS walks and geocaching events, where you have to laboriously enter coordinates and search for hidden caches – and where all sorts of things can go wrong. Whether a hiker took the container with the next waypoints in good faith, mistaking it for rubbish, or a farmer came along and put up a new gate – that was our daily reality for over 10 years with traditional geocaching events. Now, however, we have our modern scavenger hunt event, available in many variations. The modern iPad rally takes the ‘scavenger hunt’ experience to a whole new level. Instead of outdated technology, we rely on interactive tablets, dynamic tasks and an intuitive app that will captivate your participants right from the start. The focus here is on teamwork, not the constant search for small boxes.
Our scavenger hunt events are not just a walk with tasks, but an exciting competition where communication, creativity and teamwork take centre stage. Participants navigate their chosen location – be it a city, company premises or the countryside – with an iPad, solving location-based tasks tailored to them.
The classic range of tasks featuring location-specific questions is complemented by targeted challenges designed to strengthen team spirit and create lasting memories. These include photo missions, video missions and interactive team tasks. There’s something for everyone in the team.
1. Live interaction in real time
Teams not only track their own progress on the iPad, but can also communicate with other teams via chat. This creates excitement, motivation and a genuine team spirit – without any downtime.
2. Versatile and creative task formats
Whether it’s quiz questions, brainteasers, photo or video missions: our tasks appeal to different learning styles and ensure variety and fun. Ideal for bringing out the different strengths within the team.
3. Technically reliable and intuitive
Our iPads are equipped with a user-friendly event app that runs smoothly – even with many participants at the same time. No glitches, no technical frustration – just fun. We can also see the teams’ current location at all times and can answer questions via live chat or provide support directly to the team.
4. Fully customisable to suit your company
On request, we can incorporate your corporate culture, CI elements or internal themes into the tasks. This transforms a standard event into a bespoke experience with a genuine connection to your team. Click here for bespoke team events!
5. Location-independent – full flexibility
Whether in a city park, company premises, city centre or hotel grounds: the scavenger hunt event can be held almost anywhere and is less dependent on the weather than many traditional outdoor events.
6. Gamification with a reward system
Real-time rankings, points scoring and an awards ceremony foster a playful sense of competition and encourage teamwork – including team cheers and a sense of achievement. The scavenger hunt event also offers a photo documentation of the teams afterwards, which can be presented as a slideshow.
7. Lasting learning effects & team dynamics
The combination of active movement, collaborative problem-solving and team reflection sticks in the mind. Upon request, our trainers ensure targeted application of these insights into everyday working life.
8. No prior knowledge or app installations required
On request, all teams are provided with a pre-configured iPad – no one needs to download anything or make any preparations. This makes the event ideal even for teams who aren’t tech-savvy.
9. Support from experienced BITOU team trainers
Our trained staff will accompany your team on site, ensure everything runs smoothly and provide immediate assistance with any questions or challenges.
10. Events for small teams or large groups
Whether 5 or 1,000 people – our modern scavenger hunt events are scalable and can be optimally delivered even for large groups, including cluster solutions for parallel game areas.
This modern scavenger hunt is an interactive experience that brings creativity and teamwork together in a fascinating way. Our modern iPad rally combines fun with purpose, structure with excitement, and physical activity with shared moments of discovery. This helps your team bond in a lasting way and improves communication within the team. Silos are minimised.

An international company in the consumer goods sector was planning a team-building day for its 30-strong marketing department. The aim was to strengthen communication between staff following a long period of working from home and to integrate new colleagues. The chosen activity was a scavenger hunt event.
The requirements:
Following a brief, motivational introduction by our BITOU team trainer, six teams, each equipped with an iPad, set off on their route through the historic Speicherstadt. The digital map showed various task points which the groups could visit in any order they chose – a crucial factor for strategic team coordination, as each task was worth a different number of points!
Examples of on-site tasks:
📸 Photo challenge: “Stage a photo that reflects your team’s vision.”
🧠 Quiz: Questions about the company, but also about local Hamburg quirks
🎬 Video mission: “Film a 15-second advert for your team.”
🤖 AI element: Word puzzles to decipher a team code
All teams could see their progress in real time and track how the points ranking was changing. The playful competition generated high levels of motivation and plenty of laughter – even colleagues who are usually reserved became actively involved.
After around two hours, all the teams gathered at a café with a terrace, where the prize-giving ceremony took place. A particular highlight was the screening of the best team videos – which received a huge round of applause.
To round things off, our trainer led a brief reflection: “What was the strongest team moment?” – and linked the experience to the department’s communication objectives.
